Spanish dealer's experiences
We started representing Mantsinen machines in Spain about two years ago. We were sceptical at first, since back then we didn't yet understand the advantages of Mantsinen machines compared to cable cranes.
At the beginning of our collaboration, we had an opportunity to visit Finland with one our important customers. We saw the machines operating in different environments and this changed our opinion of the machine's benefits. We realized that the machine is much more productive than a cable crane. We were certain that, after seeing the Mantsinen machine in use, the customer would be convinced of its advantages.
And we were right about this. Our customer closed the sale of 5 machines that are used to handle scrap and bulk material. In 2007, we have delivered two 60-ton machines more to the same customer.
Another one of our important customers uses a Mantsinen 140 RKM mobile harbour crane to handle bulk products in the port. After purchasing the machine, their productivity doubled. In addition to the increased productivity, their fixed costs have been considerably reduced.
The Mantsinen machines have also brought our customers other benefits. Maintenance costs are at least half those of a traditional machine. When this is taken into consideration in the total investment cost, the savings are considerable.
The factors that most convinced our customers to choose a Mantsinen machine are increased productivity and cost savings for maintenance costs.
We are selling more machines all the time and the future looks promising for the Mantsinen machines.
