Happy Holidays from Mantsinen!

Year 2017 is getting close to its end. For Mantsinen this has been a big year in many ways. I was requested to make a top three list of 2017 so here we go.

Firstly. In March, we launched world’s largest hydraulic crane, Mantsinen 300. First deliveries have been made to Belgium and Finland with more to come in 2018. The feedback from the market has been excellent ”best Mantsinen we have ever operated”, ”a game-changer”, ”feels amazingly agile”, ”brings about great productivity”. Thanks for supporting our efforts to be the most innovative hydraulic crane producer.

Secondly. In June, we completed our biggest delivery to Latin America yet. Four units of Mantsinen 160 crane have increased efficiency of barge logistics for Fibria Aracruz pulp mill. A challenging project with ambitious productivity target, but something that Fibria team reached and exceeded.

Thirdly. In August, another new. World’s most efficient and innovative Bioproduct plant started operating in Äänekoski, Finland. MetsäFibre chose Mantsinen as their logistic services partner. A team of nearly 40 Mantsinen employees plus core fleet of three Mantsinen 120 units plus two electric locomotives empty over 240 trucks plus 70 rail cars on a daily basis. Altogether we supply production line with more than 18.000 m3 per day. According to our knowlegde, this is the most energy and resource efficient wood terminal in the world, co-created with our customer Metsä.

Nothing of this would be possible without our customers, partners, employees and our nearest and dearest. We strive to be the best in our field for You. You inspire us to continue innovating and improving our performance.

In 2018 we will kick-start a customer service improval program, begin a five-year investment program in production capacity and fleet renewal plus continue to increase our investments our team and their competencies. I cannot help but wonder: how will this top three look like for 2018?

Relax, enjoy, share the holidays with your family. We meet again in 2018.
