Mantsinen Group and Heavy Handling strengthen co-operation in Benelux
Mantsinen Group Ltd Oy and its Belgian distributor Heavy Handling bvba have agreed to widen co-operation by appointing Heavy Handling as distributor to the Netherlands for Mantsinen material handlers, attachments and services.
As a part of a closer relationship Mantsinen is also establishing an extensive European spare parts hub to be located at Heavy Handling's newly built headquarters in Kallo/Antwerp, Belgium, to serve its worldwide customers with improved lead times.
Mantsinen and Heavy Handling started co-operation in 2012 and the number of Mantsinen machines in Belgium has been growing ever since. Mantsinen is manufacturing the largest hydraulic material handlers in the world, namely Mantsinen 160, 200 and 300, for which Belgian ports have expressed great interest. Tapio Pirinen, Vice President for Mantsinen material handling machinery division comments; “Heavy Handling has shown great results in Belgium, has extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art hydraulic machinery, and a straightforward vision with a strong will to grow in material handling segment.” “We are happy to have such a partner for us now covering whole Benelux”.
Closer relationship with Mantsinen and Heavy Handling means also dedicated people. According to COO Christophe Crombez: “Larger market area allows Heavy Handling to have a dedicated Mantsinen focused organization in both sales and service. We are currently investing to customized service vehicles and service personnel is receiving profound technical training to support Benelux customers in the best possible way”.
Within a few days the Antwerp based crane company Goeyvarts R bvba will receive the largest hydraulic material handler ever built on wheels. The Mantsinen 300 M has been already fully assembled at Mantsinen new assembly plant in Port of Rauma in western Finland, and will be transported completely assembled and immediately ready for work once driven off the transport vessel. Goeyvarts R owns already three Mantsinen material handlers and in the beginning of 2019 they will receive another Mantsinen 300 M in addition to the one now already on its way.
